Our new project is creating a glog or a brochure.
There were 2 options and we chose the option1.We were supposed to design a propoganda poster of the Party in the book.We read the summary of the novel and watched the video about it. Then we wrote our slogans and found suitable pictures for the slogans. The subject of the novel atracked me so much,it was a little confusing by the way,and creating a glog was also an enjoyable thing,I really enjoyed it. And here is the glog created by me and Bahar Aksu;

The Internet Based Project
Hello,
Here is our new project which is about the BBC interviews
I chose the interview made with Clint Eastwood. Clint Eastwood is one of the Hollywood's most famous directors and actors. I chose his interview because I'm curios about him. I especially like his film The good, The bad and The ugly(to be honest, it is his only film I've watched but it is one of my favourite films.). He displayed a perfect performance in that film. I also learned his other two movies thanks to this interview and I'll watch them immediately.
I listened the interview again and again while I was preparing this project and took notes. Then I wrote them on my blog.I hope you like it.
you can listen the interview by clicking the link below

The Interview;
The interview is between Francine Stock and Clint Eastwood. They talk about the two movies of Clint Eastwood "Flags of our fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima"
At the beggining the interviewer begin to interview by talking about how the actor is talented and famous. She says his films are genarally about heroism.Then we listen a dialogue from his movie "Dirty Harry". The interviewer mentions the films"Flags of our fathers and The letters from Iwo Jima". The movies argue with the war. One of them is about American troops and the other one is about Japanese soldiers."Letters from Ima Jima won the Best Foreign Language Film award at the Golden Globe.
Francine Stock goes on the interview by asking Clint Easwood to tell his experiences about war.
And Eastwood answers " what I am trying to do with those kind of films are personalize it, telling about the people rather than the war itself"
As the second question she asked "To put together the two films, they consist of political leadership. Is that the way you see leadership? Is it like that in the movies?"
-Yes, it is.Young men were fought in the war by the government. It is always the people who make sacrifices.
"Letters from Iwo Jima is a Japanese language film. How hard was it for you to get into the sensibility of Japanese soldiers at that time?"
-It is not difficult, if you are curious about it. If you are curious, you want to explore it. And women take letters from their children their husbands they are all the same tragedy in every culture every language.
The next question is "it is a historical film about heroism but is it still the same mentality if we are involved any kind of conflict?Is that still about there"
And he answered "yes it is probably still there but it is difiicult to find that's kind of things in present time,since the beggining of mankind people have been involved in wars and nothing so much has changed about human spirit."
When we read the letters we understand why Japanese people fought like that we understood them after many decades. we can see the present conflict that the west involved in the film, it is fighting against an adversary but does not understant its adversary.
"yes that's true, it is a religious thing, it's about my god is better than your god "
After these questions I listened a part from the Letters from Iwo Jima, then someone talked about the film he talked about how a different film it is. He said " It is a different film there is a director from a country and he made a film about the other county with a different langguage, it is not just like a Eastwood film it is also like a Japanese film.
Then the interviewer asked questions to that guy.
-And do you think it does well on its own or should it be seen with Flags of our Father?
-The films look at same points with different sides, I think you should see it with Flags of our fathers.
-What do people think about this film coming from Eastwood?
-I dont think a person thinks a film made by Eastwood that is not astonished with his films. I talked one of the people who first realizes the Easwood ability and even he said that he wouldn't expect that kind of good job.
Then the interviewer talked about the past of the Eastwood, meeting with Sergio Leone and his thoughts about him.He made the film Dirty Harry which was about the heroism and the cowboys.
If I was the interviewer I would ask those 2 questions to Clint Eastwood;
1)Almost all of your films are about heroism, is there a specific reason?
2)You are both a good director and an actor, isn't it so hard to carry out both of them?

Fable project:The Sneezing Elephant
An elephant in the jungle was sick and sneezing a lot. Everytime he
sneezed, he made a big wind that destroyed everything around him. All
the animals in the jungle was disturbed by this but nobody tried to heal
the poor elephant.
One day he sneezed again, and his sneeze destroyed the lion's resting place. The lion got very angry.
"Get out of my jungle!" he shouted. The elephant got very sad and he started to walk out of the jungle. The night came and outside the jungle was very frightening. Sick and sad, the elephant started crying. An owl heard him.
"Why are you crying?" said the owl. The elephant told him everything. The owl said: "Let me take a look at your nose and find out what's wrong."
He examined the elephant's nose, then he took a very big feather out of it. "This is what made you sneeze!" The elephant was very happy. He thanked the owl. Then they heard noises coming from the jungle.
"Fire! Somebody save us!" A big flame was rising up the trees.
"Quick! We have to do something." said the elephant. "Put that feather back in my nose! Add some of your own feathers!" The owl did what he said and the elephant sneezed so big that the wind coming from his nose made the whole fire go away.
All of the animals thanked him. They took all the feathers out of his nose. The lion apologized from him and took him back to the jungle.
Moral: We must help to those in need, for they can help us when we are in need.
We had lots of fun when we were preparing this fable. We read different fables we thought about animals and plants and their features. My partners were Meryem Yavuz and Bahar Aksu. First we thought about the story then we wrote something about it. We had watched a few cartoons before we wrote the fable, then we wrote it.Finally we found an end and wrote the moral of our story.
